Matt Andzel

Matt is a fifteen year veteran working as a renowned strength & speed coach. He holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Science from Kean University and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) by the NSCA and a certified exercise physiologist (EP-C) by the ACSM. For over twelve years Matt has trained youth athletes, high school athletes, college athletes, professional athletes, and adult fitness & rehabilitation. Matt has delivered nutritional consultations, addressed weight management, and wrote exercise prescriptions based on individual client needs. He is also skilled at conducting pre- and post-assessments to track progress and make recommendations. Matt has experience training staff on developing personal fitness and wellness goals, including weight loss, body composition, strength, endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, and basic rehab.

As well as training Matt has experience teaching at the college level. Matt has been a professor in the undergraduate and graduate fields of Physical Education and Exercise Science. He has taught classes including Sports and Fitness Management, Exercise Physiology, Personal Fitness, and Strength Fitness. As well as being a supervisor and field advisor in the Exercise Science major for junior-field experience and senior-field experience. These field experiences encompass 45-hour internships and 200-hour internships at respective facilities. Has overseen over 100 students complete their field experience.

Matt has trained over 1,000 athletes with a primary focus in baseball, football, lacrosse and track & field area working in all areas from strength, rotational power, speed, agility, and flexibility. Matt has worked with elite baseball players from the youth level to MLB. Matt looks forward to providing his expertise to all SportsIQ athletes…
